There are only 28 days left to have your say on the draft plans for the future of the water environment near you.

You can see the draft updated river basin management plan consultation documents at www.gov.uk/government/consultations/update-to-the-draft-river-basin-management-plans
The Environment Agency first contacted you in October 2014 about a major consultation to develop river basin management plans that will set the direction of investment and action in the water environment for years to come.

We are waiting for your feedback on these plans. They set out a clear economic case for cleaner rivers, lakes, coasts and groundwater, and propose long-term objectives for sustainable use of land and water, resilient to the impacts of flood, drought and climate change.

Have you read the consultation documents yet? Are you ready to submit your response? Our e-consultation system makes it quick and easy. We are interested in your views and what you have to say really will make a difference to the plans.

You don’t need to register – but by registering you can save and amend your comments until you are ready to submit them. Those who respond before the closing date of 10 April 2015 give us the maximum amount of time to update the plans.

This consultation is your opportunity to be part of the conversation on priorities and to influence decisions on investment. Please help to spread the word by including details of this consultation in your regular communications to your staff/members and external networks.
